Atlanta – December 27, 2017 – EVO Payments International (EVO), a leading card payment acquirer and payment service provider operating throughout North America and Europe, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Liberbank SA to form a long-term strategic alliance to provide payment services to merchants in Spain. In connection with the alliance, Liberbank will transfer its existing merchant acquiring business in Spain to EVO. EVO will provide a full suite of secure payment processing services for both existing and prospective Liberbank merchants, allowing them access to best-in-class merchant acquiring services, innovations in digital transactions, and state-of-the-art technology. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2018.
